HP iLO (Integrated Lights-Out) Configuration Guide

Initial Setup

  1. Access iLO:

    • Connect to the server's iLO interface via Ethernet

    • Default IP is often DHCP-assigned or 192.168.1.1

    • Access via web browser: https://<iLO_IP>,

  2. Login Credentials:

    • Default username: Administrator

    • Default password: Found on the server's information tag or in documentation

Basic Configuration

  1. Network Settings:

    • Navigate to "Administration" → "Network"

    • Configure static IP or confirm DHCP settings

    • Set DNS servers if needed

  2. User Management:

    • Go to "Administration" → "User Administration"

    • Create new users with appropriate privileges

    • Disable default admin account or change its password

  3. Security Settings:

    • Enable SSL/TLS (recommended)

    • Configure security protocols under "Administration" → "Security"
